Devondale long life milk preservation technique
PROCESS: Ultra High Temperature (UHT) Pasteurisation
TECHNIQUE DEFINITION: The process of UHT Pasteurisation requires heating the temperature of the milk up to 141 degrees Celsius for 1-2 seconds, sterilizing the milk. It is then stored aseptically in containers. This process lengthens the shelf life and the milk is usable for months after the UHT Pasteurisation has taken place.
